44" Eagle Transporter

The one model I've always wanted to build was a 44" Eagle Transporter (the same scale as the largest studio model). When I found that I could get a fiberglass replica of the command module from Chris Trice, this inspired me to start my own model.

After five years working on it, this is the result.

Note: the 22” eagle in the pictures, was built by David Sisson

Even though there are a few inaccuracies in the model, I think it would stand up quite well in a hanger scene with the original filming models. You can judge for yourself, below are pictures of it along side the original eagle 1 and eagle 2. There is also the original swift model and a fantastic build up of the 44” AB kit.
